Casa Azul is a spacious 3-bedroom house in a quiet road in the centre of the old town behind the church of Saint Pedro. About 100 years old, the house was originally a fisherman's and built in the typical local style. While we have kept the style, the interior of the house was completely remodelled in 2001. It has a good sized courtyard, half of which is shaded, with a dining table and chairs plus a barbeque for al fresco dining. Inside, the living room has satellite tv, dvd and cd player and gives on to a fully equipped kitchen with dining area; laundry room; downstairs w.c. Upstairs is the second w.c. and shower room adjoining one large double bedroom; one single bedroom; one medium bedroom with second pull-out bed and balcony overlooking the courtyard. Extra folding bed. Sleeps 4- 6.

It is fully managed, with cleaning, towels and bed linen included in the price. Optional extras include a welcome hamper of food and drink/flowers. Cot and high chair hire available.

The sandy beaches are nearby and within walking distance. Ten minutes walk (or a moment's drive) away is Praia do Porto de Areia Sul, which also has two wonderful marisquerias (shellfish restaurants). Twenty minutes walk (or 5 minute's drive) is the spectacular two kilometre sandy bay, beginning with Praia da Gamboa and ending at Baleal. On the south side of the peninsula and five minute's drive away is the world famous Supertubos surfing beach.

All attractions are near to the house. Casa Azul is a stroll away from the Fort Museum, the marina, historic churches, parks, lace cooperatives, tourist information and cultural centre.

All amenties such as the farmer's market, restaurants, cafés, shops, bakeries as well as the taxi rank, post office, banks with cashpoints are just a walk away.
